Chemstream offers the following natural gas water treatment solutions:
Flow-Back Water Treatment
After many "Treatability Studies", we at Chemstream found that we can remove TDS and TSS from frack flow-back water. On an everyday basis, Chemstream treats thousands of gallons per minute of mine discharge water and frack flow-back water. Chemstream has the proper treatment procedures to rapidly precipitate, coagulate, flocculate and separate the solids from the clear water. This accelerates the availability of recycled water for additional fracking. Plus, this treatment can be done "on-site" without the needless expense of hauling the water over a considerable distance. The remaining concentrated sludge (just 1% to 3% of total water volume) can also de dewatered "on-site".
Pre-Aeration of Frack Water
Chemstream's patented Aero-Troff (non-electrical aerator) can precondition the flow-back water by sparging or off-gassing carbon dioxide and other gases from the water. In addition, it will add oxygen to the water. Potential odors are also eliminated in this process. But the most significant aspect of pre-aeration is that after this process, the dosage of treatment chemicals can be reduced by 40% to 60% providing exceptional savings and more efficient water treatment.
Sludge Dewatering
Chemstream has developed an on-site method of dewatering sludge that we call "Sludge Bagging". Our process places the sludge in large geo-textile bags so that the water runs out and the sludge is contained within the bag to efficiently dewater. After a period of time, usually 2 to 3 weeks, the bag can be cut open and the contents removed with a loader or the entire bag can be buried.
Frack Water Recycling
In the Chemstream frack water treatment process, high quality water is produced that goes beyond the standard "flow and drop" recycled water quality. Heavy metals and other dissolved solids as well as a multitude of suspended particles or solids such as clays, silts, and sediments are removed from the water. This high quality water can be recycled many repeated times.
